my friend has a va6 mobo. currently, she is using a lowly pII233. she wanted to upgrade to something faster... she hinted at a pIII700 or so. i thought the pII700 was expensive for the clockspeed, so i looked around and found a 1.2ghz celeron at a good price. now the question is... will this mobo support a 1.2ghz celeron cpu? i looked on abit's website and downloaded the manual. in the bios updates section, it mentions of support of up to a 900mhz celeron and 1+ghz pIII cpus. i also tried to look up what multiplier settings are available via softmenu, and all i found was something saying it goes up to 8x. this did not make sense to me, becuz it said it supports a 900mhz celeron... which is a 100mhz fsb chip and requires a multiplier setting of 9x. does anyone know for sure what is the highest multiplier setting for the va6? i tried looking on google... i have not had much luck. maybe i am looking in the wrong places... can anyone throw me a bone and help me out? :)

the VA6 uses Slot-1, unless you have something like the Slotket (or any Socket370 to Slot-1 converter), you can't use Socket370 chips directly on it. You can use Coppermine Celeron and Pentium III's but not Tualatin versions of them.
