Well, last night a power supply on one of my computers went to higher grounds taking MB and GFX with it. There were blown capacitors all over the place. Seems it got a modest spike
I replaced the capacitors and the power supply and the machine will now POST. The HighPoint HTP370 BIOS will recognise the array (RAID0), but the partition itself is unreadable. Windows will not boot (Disk read error).
Now, I would't even write about this but for one small problem: There are two database files on those disks that I forgot to include in the backup. And I need those files bad
I tried plugging the disks into another comp with the same MB and it exhibits the same problem. Downloading Knoppix now to see if that will help. Sure hope so.
WinXP recovery console doesn't recognise the partition.
In the mean time I would appreciate any suggestions on solving this problem aside from forgetting about it and restoring the rather old archives of those databases that i did find.
