Let me start off with specs:
Abit ST6
Celeron 1.1A
2x256MB Infineon PC133
Visiontek GF3 Ti 200
SBLive! Audigy
Linksys 10/100 NIC
WD 100GB Special Edition HDD
16x Toshiba DVD
32x Lite On CDRW
Okay, I had this system for about 3 months before I upgraded to a P4/DDR setup. So I sold the mobo/CPU to someone on a FS/FT forum and he is having problems. I did the vid pin mod on the motherboard (pin method). And had the CPU running at 133MHz FSB for 1463MHz.
Now the person I sold it to said he is having problems. Here is his email:
<< I?m having a problem with the motherboard. I haven?t been able to get any video from it. I?ve tried the three different AGP cards that I have and none of them work I?ve also tried different processors and memory and I would have tried a PCI video card but I don?t have one. I?ve tried reseating the cards trying them one by one and so on but nothing has worked. >>
here is what I wrote back:
<< Hmm... that's odd. I never had any such problem. Which video cards have you had? I had a Visiontek GeForce3 Ti 200 on it for the few months I had it. Did you try clearing the CMOS? Have you tried trying to boot with just the minimal hardware? Is everything powering up (CDROMs, HDDs, fans, etc.)? What is brand/power is your PSU? Can you even get in the BIOS? Is there any way you can get a PCI card to test? >>
Can any of you think of a reason why this would happen or a possible solution? Thanks in advance.
