Here's my story... in Aug last I built a T-Bird 1.2 Ghz machine with a Abit KT7E MB, Abit Siluro T400, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, IBM Deskstar, and some cheap ass Netgear NIC (don't remeber Model... only piece surviiving from old pc)
I am running Windows XP Pro and everything ran fine till a couple of weeks ago... not my video has taken a major dump... it started as missing Icons, then went to screen distortion... the few times I have a clear screen the whole
machine locks up if I try to run DIVX or Tac Ops... If I disable the card in the device manager all is OK same in safe mode... I have been through 4 sets of drivers, Both NVIDIA's and ABIT's... Flashed the video BIOS, and
reloaded windows all to no avail... I had not installed anything new at the time of the screw up... I have tried to play with the MB BIOS some to no avail... I do not think it is a hardware issue since it works fine in safe mode but hey
I may be wrong... rumor is it happened once before... ANYTHING that anyone can tell me to help will be appreciated... Thanks
