Abit Siluro GF2MX400 w/ 64mb o/c

I have this card on order. I do not plan on o/c it personally however I have read a few reviews and they have all praised the card in terms of overclockability.

I've got one of these, nice card. Havn't overclocked it 'cause I've read there's no significant increase in performance in doing so-4950 BTW in 3dmk2k on an K7S5A/900. The TV out is sharp, but the picture adjustments aren't as flexable as my ATI cards.

<< overclocking the memory should definitely give you performance increases, give it a try 🙂 >>

that's exactly what i was thinking of doing... But even without overclocking, the card has great value

Would you know if that card is based on the Nvidia reference board?

If it is, and you're handy with a soldering iron, you may wish to try the Quadro2MXR conversion...

Because the core + memory clocks are raised, it's essentially just an overclock, but it also enables all the features that the Quadro has over the GF.
I've done this myself to a 3dpower Nemesis card, with a VERY nice performance increase. Apparently the GF2MX400 benefits more than any other GF from this conversion. Note that the memory should be 5.5ns at the most... 6ns probably wont handle the new memory clock.

You can find info here:

Xbit labs also showed you how you can solder a resistor onto the card's oscillator to raise the voltage to the core slightly, making it more overclockable.
