*** Abit SH6 PCI Busmastering Problems!! ***

A friend of mine recently purchased an Abit SH6. He reformatted his hard drive and installed a clean copy of Windows 98SE. He disabled the AC97 sound in BIOS and tried to install a Diamond Monster MX300 card. No matter which PCI slot he tried, the card kept telling him it was plugged into a secondary slot (which disables certain card features). He has installed the latest INF drivers from Intel's website and has tried both VJ and VW BIOS flashes. Has anyone else had any trouble with PCI bus mastering on the SH6? Is there something else he needs to install? His vid card is a GeForce 2 GTS, processor is a CeleronII 600 with 256mb of micron PC133 CL2 SDRAM. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I havn't run across this problem, and have only had the SH6 for a couple days, but I might suggest your friend checks in bios to make sure he Disabled the Midi,& Gameport, otherwise it may be a conflict, or quite possibly the problem at hand.
