i just got a 30 gig ata 100 maxtor (thanks hot deals forum!!). i installed it and reloaded with windows m.e.
now...the question i have, do you guys install the intel ata driver off the disk that came with the mobo? i did, and i started getting some stuttering while i was downloading and transfering files beween hard drives. someone suggested to enable dma, but there is no option for this with the intel drivers loaded.
if i just use the built-in (to m.e.) drivers, i have the option to enable dma.
so....what do you guys do??
