Abit SE6 or wait for a Asus CUSL2 (possibly 3 weeks of waiting)

What do you guys think, does the Asus really outperform the Abit (in performance and stability)? I go more for stability than other things. I just received my 700E cb0 and don't like it sitting here doing nothing.

As much as it pains me to not use my 650E cB0, I am going to wait for the CUSL2 just cuz the SE6 sucks. I have heard that the new BIOS for the SE6 boosts up the speed 5-10% but I think that is pure speculation. I have yet to see any benches that prove this.

If you are currently without a computer, I would suggest you get something quickly but if you don't absoultely need to buy something NOW, you can wait a little longer can't you.

Check out the HardOCP review of SE6, they had nothing but problems with that board, extremely unpleasant experience. Wait for Asus or MSI.

ASUS has a consistent track record.....I'd wait and take advantage of the stability and speed. By waiting, I'd say ASUS has time to have a look at what problems ABIT has and incorporate work arounds or fixes to avoid these issues.

Hehe... yea, Abit's quality is not that good. But from what I heard, none of the motherboard manufacturers can help you much with the technical support.

haha, true. At least Asus reply email, though with no help, better than Abit just disregard your email...

For Tech support, I can't find a better place than anandtech...

Exactly, the users of these motherboards can provide more help than the manufacturers themselves because they've encountered all kinds of problems with the board, but the manufacturer isnt able to do.

Go with Abit if you enjoy having to RMA your board a lot 😉. I have 4 Abit boards all working fine, its just a shame about the other 8 that have died from various problems :|. Pay the extra and get the Asus, they rock and have never let me down.

A local chop shop where I live has the Abit SE6 in stock and I was thinking of getting one Monday, but it sounds like it might be a good idea to wait for good 'ol Asus. Thanks for the warning.
