I purchaed several ABIT SE6 motherboards with the 815E chipset in order to take advantage of the latest hardware available. Everything seems to be working fine and the motherboard is pretty simple to setup.
The reason I got this motherboard ovet the ASUS CUSL2 is that it comes with the sound and game ports already onboard. The CUSL2 lacks this feature.
The problem I'm having is with the Video output. On almost every single montior I've used, you can see slow but evident waves going across the screen. I'ts as if the refresh rate is too low or something. I used an existing ASUS CUSL2 and have noticied absolutetly nothing wrong with it's video performance.
Could it be that the sound ports on board are having some kind of negative effect on the video output? (I doubt it). I believe that the problem is with ABIT's version of the Video driver for the 815E chipset. I have not been able to find an update for the video driver for this board on ABIT's site.
If anyone has this problem with their ABIT SE6 boards, please let me know. And if you have found a cure for this strange behavior, I would love to hear how you corrected it.
