I just checked out the abit website and noticed that there are some new bios for my board, an Abit SE6.

But I just have a few questions:

There is an update for a board named 'SE6 V2.1', and three updates for another board named 'SE6'.

A few weeks ago i flashed my bios with the SE6VK update and everything is working great.

But now, i dont know if I should update my bios with the new bios (SE6 V2.1). I really don't know what means V2.1 and the abit website doesn't have information about it.

I just want to ask if it is safe to flash the bios with the SE6PWL update.

thanks!

The 2.1 is a new revision of the board. Don't use any of the 2.1 bioses or you'll have major probs. VK is latest
bios release for original SE6. Dont think the 2.1's are
out of the Far East as yet.
Cheers

JulianD,
What command switches did you use to flash?
AwdFlash SE6_VK.bin /cc/cd/cp/sn/cks/r ?

I flashed but could not boot after I shutdown to reboot, and had to reset cmos (remove the battery and completly power down)to start the system up. Went back to SW.
