Is the ABIT SA7 Intel P4 Socket 478 SIS645DX chipset W/Audio LAN motherboard a good board? I'm trying to rebuild my system and was looking for the best bang for the buck in terms of motherboard. I'm going to run a 1.7ghz P4 on it. It retails for $68, does anyone else know a cheaper board with the same specs?

I'd say go for it from a good vender such as newegg. If you have a problem, they will get you a new board in about 8 days. Check abit's website for detailed specs on the board. I have an asus p4s533, but sometimes it won't hold a cpu voltage change. Will say there's a problem detected in the hardware monitor. Just a problem with this particular board, but they are about $40 more than the abit board with the same chipset. Abit also has a direct rma form available for a small service fee. It comes in handy if your vender goes out of business, but that's not likely with newegg.

Yeah, I pulled the price from newegg.com. As of today, it sells for $67 for the board and $128 for the P4 1.7ghz. Does anyone know what's the best bang for the buck in terms of cpu speed? I think 1.7 ghz is over kill for me already, but 1.6 and 1.5 isn't that much cheaper though.
