Abit NV8 motherboard questions...oldskool?

I got a free oldskool computer given to me. I has the abit NV8 motherboard.

I have two questions:
1.) Will it support a mobile athlon64 CPU without the heatspreader? I have a 62w mobil clawhammer laying around.
2.) What is the newest bios, and where can I obtain it being ABIT is non existent?

Bummer. All the links are dead on every search I did. Of course I have bios 10, and the latest is 14. What a bummer.

The abit website looks nice but the links are all broken.

Not sure if the mobile Athlon will work in desktop board, there were some users who had running mobile Athlons in their desktops but it's because the boards had the bios support, not sure about this one though.

No problem. Its a dinosaur. Sheeps link did work amazingly, and I say that becuase I installed a virtual machine so I could try some suspect download sites. None were it and the VM did get infected. Will flash tonight and keep fingers crossed the mobil CPU will work. The A64 2800+ desktop cpu is a dog. Slower than a P4 2.8.

I hear that. I have a KU8/Sempr0n 2800+ running Win2K. It's my backup PC, running all old skool IDE stuff

Well bad news......although the bios upgrade went spot on and the motherboard boots with mobile athlon 64 3200+, it is NOT stable and does NOT run the vcore correctly. 0.92v is just too low.

Oh well, was a nice try, and im sure there are other fixes the bios corrected. The sound is better with no more crackle. RAID bios was also included so im sure that will be better.
