Here is the system I want to put together:

Barton 2500
Saphire 9800 pro
OCZ 512 pc 3200 performance ram

The price differences are not huge though the shuttle is almost 30 bucks cheaper. But it also doesn't have SATA ports. Not that I need those.

So which board is going to be my best bang for buck for a gaming rig.

I guess the biggest question would be are you gonna buy an Audigy2? Abit nf7-s has the soundstorm dolby digital built on board.

I have an audigy 2 already. So sound onboard is not even semi an issue. However I am wondering about other things like SATA. Not that I have a drive that supports it, but who knows.

how's that?
The NF7-s has soundstorm, SATA raid, and among the best range of voltage adjustments for overclocking, all for $95, that's a hard combo of features-to-value to beat in the nF2 arena.

Not any more! it just went on sale for $89.99! What are the CPU, ram, and vdd ranges on the Albatron? The Albatron doesn't have mounting holes around the CPU skt either. NF7-s=teh winn4r :D

My ABIT NF7-S Rev 2.0 has been stable since it popped out of the box. Overclocks like a champion. Onboard sound is great imo, onboard LAN works which is all i need it to do, havent tried SATA yet.... Not too expensive and an amazing board.

Ive posted quite a lot of praise for the NF7-S and quite a few people tend to agree with the quality of it.

NF7-S has the MCP-T SouthBridge, Onboard Firewire, SATA and Soundstorm.

Not to mention it's one of, if not the best nForce2 OC boards out there.
