My NF7-2 V2 still boots.
Still has the Mobile 2400 oc'd @ 205 x 11.5 = 2350 - 1.65v
Resurrected today from shoe box storage.
I found everything I needed - but an IDE cable --- LOL
Abit website is there, but not functional.

RIP Abit ?

I killed a NF-7 (non S) just a month before Xmas with one of the voltage mods i did, was too careless when tuning the potentiometer

:tearsofjoy:

I need to buy another NF-7 (this time an S version) for my retro collection, but the ones ive found on eBay (same seller) wants over 100$ which I am not prepared to pay.

Ideally would like to find a DFI Infinity/Lanparty SocketA, but have yet to come across one anywhere

My new IDE cables arrive Sunday ( yea ,,, stop laffn at me )
I think I still have my last OS system images hopefully, and just a simple
system restore ahead.

If not .. do you want me to DM you about acquiring my system ?
( VidCard, DDR, HSF units, and the 2400 chip - the DDR is stable to 210 FSB )

PITA --- no old images - I deleted them --- But ...

Success !
Luckily I had a w2k SP3 disk. Had to find the SP4 rollup, and the SP4 rollups.
Net framework 2.0 requires MS installer 3.1 ( yup had to find them )
both were required to install the ATi Catalyst drivers 6.5.

All that depended on the nForce USB drivers, that would not install without SP4 security rollup for SP4.

Needless to say, IE only connects to non SS. So I had to shuffle the required files from my W10 setup to the USB drive, then to the NF7-S

All devices installed ! No yellow warning in the device manager.

Will be installing my favorite 32bit games later

Get your files now ---- they are very hard to find.
( MS has deleted connections from their knowledge base to the file servers )

My ancient Sony IDE CD drive failed. lolz
No games, or backup images until a new one.
( can't believe they are still 30 bucks )

Damn, and I had plans to play Quake 1 on my 65 inch TV, and home theater.

BTW, I found a library full of nForce driver releases
( and some custom sets I saved )

[edit]
I connected a SATA DVD drive to a converter to USB temporarily

Q1 would not install on winnt x32 (needed FAT), But, Quake II did !
Q2 also recognized OpenG/L on the ATi card.

I'm good to lay my shoebox NF7-S on the lining room table for some retro gaming.
