Did anyone else like the fact that the abit implementation moved the PCI slots down from the AGP slot. Considering many new Vidcards take two slots that seems like a smart way to deal with it. The ABIT and ASUS have the same number of PCI slots still on the board tho right? Anyway I liked it, seemed a prudent measure to save the end user headaches, and not cost the manufacturer any more.

i don't think any smart computer user uses PCI Slot 1 anyways--it generally shares resources with the AGP slot. but it ways looks better to say "hey, this board has 6 PCI slots" as opposed to deciding for the user that he only wants 5.

Well both motherboards only have 5 pci slots, the abit just has a gap between the 1st slot on the AGP slot, which means a saphire 9700 pro wont block a PCI slot. I realize most people dont even use 5 considering ethernet is built in now, but I still like it.

you can see what I mean in their roundup.
