abit nf7-s onboard lan

I'm planning on getting the forementioned mobo and was wondering if I should spend money on a pci network card? I'm on a university connection so I'm wondering if I'll notice a big difference if I invest some money into a brand name card? If so...what would be a good card to get? Thanks.

The onboard Nvidia\Realtek NIC is fine, actually in benchmarking I've seen, they're among the top 10\100 solutions.
