I have my Abit NF7-S and XP2500+ ready and gearing to go. Now I need memory. I need a 1gb matched pair kit of PC3200.

I would love to go for some OCZ EL PC3200 with low 2-2-2-6 timings, or some Corsair XMS Pro, but they're both $260-290+ for a 1gb matched pair kit. I've been looking at the Kingston HyperX KHX3200AK2/1G with 2-3-2-6 timings, for $194. I've also been looking at the Mushkin Level One Dual Pack for $259.

Please help!

Option:
1) Kingston HyperX KHX3200AK2/1G 2-3-2-6 $194
2) Kingston HyperX KHX3200K2/1G 2-2-2-6 $220
3) Mushkin Level One Dual Pack 2-3-2-6 $259
4) Corsair XMS TWINX1024-3200LL 2-3-2-6 $273
5) OCZ OC3200 EL Platinum 2-2-3-5 $265
6) OCZ PC3200 EL DDR 2-2-3-6 $255
7) Do you know of any others?

At first I wanted to go with the Kingston HyperX for $194, but dont know what to do now. I can order that kit next week, but if I choose to go with any other setup, I will have to wait another 2 weeks to afford it (ahh, gotta love being a broke student). If I have to, I will wait the extra 2 weeks, just wanna know best memory to get, that doesnt cost an arm and a leg. (Please, I don't want Buffalo. I'm sure it's good memory, but from what I hear, its hit or miss. I really don't want to wait any longer for hit or miss memory. Plus, I want quality ram, even it means paying an extra $20-30 for name brand just to help me sleep at night.)

I would put Corsair and Mushkin at the top of the list. I have used both and they consistantly get good reviews. Currently have Corsiar in my machine and Mushkin in the wife's. OZC has had a number of problems in the past, don't know if the have straightened them out yet. Kingston is good, but doesn't use the fastest chips. Kingston should be fine though if you are not building an Über machine.

I would go with the Kingston HyperX. Supposed to be good and run at LEAST at hat it is rated at. Worse case RMA it back to them, they are pretty good.

So if it doesn't run at its timings at the rated speed, I can return it? Or will they try to weasel their way out and tell me its because of my motherboard? I've been keeping an eye out on OCZ Platinum DDR for $265, which I can probably get for about $240-245 maybe. Or should I go for the better $220(original price of $293) kit of HyperX instead of the $194(original $207)?
