I have Klipsch pro media 5.1s. I plugged the black, green, and orange wires in their appropriate spots on the mobo. When I have windows audio control panel set to 5.1 speakers. When I go into the nforce2 control panel to test my speakers, the rear speakers don't play. Any ideas?

Do you have under "speaker setup" 6 speakers analog selected in Nvidia nForce control panel, also in the same section make sure all boxes in the "surround settings" are not ticked. Also try the speaker setup wizard in the same section.

Btw what motherboard do you have?

perhaps he didn't go into volume properties and then Advanced and check off use center and rear speakers?

I used Logitech Z-640 on my Epox 8RDA+ board and it worked great. I just had to make sure windows knew that I had to use the mic and line-in for output functions.

Ive heard things like the outputs are around the wrong way or colour-coded incorrectly on the NF7-S.

Try plugging into different ports or Ive heard of a program called NVSwap being used to solve problems like this.
