Hi!

I've a Abit nf7-s, rev 2 with "stock" BIOS. In MBM I can read the temp to ~41C (celsius) when idling, and approx 48C full load. I know the motherboard have the temp diode (w/ or w/out the "e"?) in the socket, and therefore can't give you a good value. But I've heard the new BIOS will drop the temperature with ~10C, so couldn't my temperatur be pretty accurate? :p :) Anyone have any idea how close the temp is the real?

Have you any good tips to fix a real temp. sensor close to the core? How to put it etc. for a really accurate value.

Just pull up the diode with your fingernail (its flexable) so that its pushed down when you set your CPU in the socket.
(its the thing sticking up in the middle of the socket)

That way its pressing on the bottom of the chip.
(I pulled mine up a few CM)

The new BIOS's reduces the software monitored readings around 10C.

So, your actual temp is around 31C. (thats a good temp, mine idles at 32, but I'm sightly over volted)
