I have this abit board, has 24 pin atx connector and it also has an 8 pin atx 12v1 connector with 8 pins, would it hurt to hook that 8 pin connector up if I do not have a video card that takes a lot of power? I have nan ATI x 1600 pro video card. I figure it would not but I just want to be sure because I thought I remember a post from someone that said it would either possibly hurt it to not have it plugged in or hurt it to have it plugged in.

😕 I believe you are ALWAYS suppose to hook up that connector as it provides power to the PCI-express graphics card that the mobo cannot supply
