Abit Motherboard (BE6) question

I currently have an Abit BE6 motherboard with the integrated HighPoint Technologies ATA/66 Controller. I just purchased a Western Digital 80 GB drive and Windows detects it fine and formats it fine. Is there a reason that HighPoint Controller only detects it as a 10 GB drive? I have the newest system BIOS as well as the newest HighPoint BIOS.... Is there anyway that this could affect the performance of the drive since it works in Windows, and is there a way to have the HPT BIOS dectect it as 80 GB?

See what it does in dos.
I'd bet it is detected and windows is not detecting the larger size correctly.
if so, try 'fdisk /mbr'
I had this problem but the correct bios setting and driver from abit cleared the problem.
