Abit KT7R, how to tell if my harddrive is in dma mode

I hooked my harddrive into the highpoint controller. I set the bios of the highpoint controller to dma mode 4 which should be ata66. Is there anyway I can make sure that win2k is using it in ata66. I had it conected to the regular ide channel before and no matter what I did in the bios I couldn't get win2k to see my harddrive as anything but pio mode even when dma was enabled "if available". I looked in the scsi properties for my highpoint controller but there isn't anything about the transfer mode. Is there a utility I can download.
