Abit KT7A revision 2?

Hey, I hear there is a new Abit KT7A revision 2 that allows you to hit FSB speeds of 180+. Anyone have any info on where I can order this new revision? Or any info on it in general?

Thanks

Why would you wanna run at 183MHz FSB? Unless they implement a 1/5 PCI divider, your putting your PCI devices ard hard drives in danger.

I have a Abit KT7A board due to arrive tomorrow, so I've been keep an ear out for this supposed Rev. 2. However, upon re-reading the article I keyed in on this :

So here it is, the KT7A rev2 review. No, there are no hardware changes on the board, and Abit won't tell you anything's different officially, but trust me, a lot has changed.

It's obvious VIA is getting better yields on their KT133A Northbridges. It may be due to finer Silicon, a cleaner clean room, or simply improved manufacturing techniques. One thing is certain, these suckers sure can overclock.

There isn't a revision two. It's simply what the author is calling it as far as I can tell. I don't see how you would ever be able to tell, because Abit is still labling them the same -other than buying 10 of them and testing each one and keeping the best OC board.

Can you please post in this thread or PM the results you get from your new Abit board? I am interested to see if this will be thew new ultimate board 🙂.

- Thanks a ton!
