Abit KT7A-Raid , What is best speed/brand Memory

I am going to purchase a Abit KT7A-Raid MB with a 1Ghz AMD Thunderbird and need some help determing the best brand/speed of memory to use with this MB. I appreciate any help on this decision. This is my first system that I am building from scratch and I will be running multiple OS's (98SE, 2000, linux). 2 questions.

1. Should I use PC133 or PC150, CAS3 or CAS2, memory? And does overclocking the AMD 1 Ghz chip affect the type of memory to choose.

2. What are the best brands, and places to purchase.

THANKS, GOOD FEEDBACK.... Just wondering if there is any benefit to using the PC150 (ie. when OverClocking)

I'm using 128mb of mushkin High Performance REV2 Cas 2 ram. I read a lot of rave reviews on mushkin ram which is why I went with them.

crucial.com has the best ram, imho... its decently priced (for premium stuff!) and has free speedy shipping

Crucial stuff its good but its not premium. ITs above average "Dell, Gateway" type of ram. If you talk about premium, you have to go the way of Corsair, Mushkin or Infineon.

just gotten my crucial 256M PC133 CAS2 and am pushing it to 145mhz. Will try to do it at 150mhz when I get a chance. btw...I am doing 2-2-2.

Crucial does give a good bang for the buck. The forum has a plethora of opinions, but I think you'd be safe betting on crucial, corsair, or mushkins.

Just make sure you get the PC133 CAS2 and not CAS3.

Anyone tried the PC150's yet?

Had the Crucial PC-133 CAS 2 all the way up to 150Mhz CAS 2, both the single-sided and the double-sided.

Best memory around IMHO.

I picked up some "generic" PC133 DIMMs from mwave.com, and lo and behold they sent me Infineon CAS2 7.5ns. I have the same board and these puppies have performed flawlessly.

I'd def try to go with CAS2 PC133 of any variety really, these settings will give you great performance for the money.
