Despite following the information/help on the "Windows 2000 Addendum Sheet" about loading the drivers, I keep getting to the first boot of W2K and the machines BSOD's as above.

Looking at it, the problem seems to be that the 2 IBM 7200 Ultra 30G drives on the in a Mirror/RAID0 config on the RAID controller have their config overwritten and revert to being two raw drives. Hence leading to the drive not existing as was before - as each now has only 1/2 the data on them.

Each boot during the install shows the two drives being shadowed. The last boot shows them as raw drives - and the BIOS config screen shows the same.

I'm starting to go bald trying to get it going (tried 15 or more times, different settings/combinations/BIOS versions) - any clues?

KT7A-RAID - WW/WZ/YH etc BIOS
T-bird 1200/266DDR (9x133, runs at 10x145)
2 x 128 PC133 CAS3
2 x IBM Ultra 100/7200rpm 30GB

I had that board for a while...

I am not familiar with the sheet you mention.

However, I installed 98SE first, then ran 2k as a dual boot on top of it. On the first restart of the PC to install it, somewhere is the either F5 or F6 option, pertained to loading drivers... (Can't remember specifics, but if you are doing it or familiar with it, you'll understand). Anyhow, at that point I put the "HOT ROD 100" diskette in, it found the drivers, then found the drives, and the rest was straightforward to install.

Sorry if that's what you're already doing - but if not, might help.

When you install Win2K, in the beginning it asks if you have any SCSI devices so then you push F6 on your Win2K installation. After loading the 2nd Installation disk, it will ask for you Hot Rod ATA100 disk, put in you disk and then continue with ur installation. It should work if you follow the procedures

Im having the same problem. When it first boots up, I push F5 & F6, turned off ACPI (Normal Computer) and installed the lastest BIOS 1.03b1. After it copies some files, I restart again. It goes to the Starting W2K for the first time screen, then BSOD. Any suggestions?

Bonkers, What is that thing about pushing F5? F6 is what gets you into the loading SCSI drivers correct? or am I missing something.
