Don't know what else to say.

This board has been my worst nightmare trying to get stable under Win98SE/Win Me.

This board has been a dream setting up and running stable under W2K.

There's no doubt that W2K is the OS I'm with here, but man I cannot get these other two OS's running stable with this same system. To weird for me at this pioint. I guess I'll just have to read up more reguarding setups under the Win9X series.

Have read about the insabilites in the VIA chipset running with the SB Live series of cards and it has been true for me trying to run the Win9X OS's, but yet under W2K ( same system ) that's not holding true. I guess I should be happy that W2K works out so well under these conditions but I hate being defeated trying to get Win98SE and Win Me running.

Don't worry be happy .. right ?

:|:D:Q:):disgust:;)

Have you tried the new BETA Bios for the SBlive fix or ever the software patch for the same problem.

I now have no problems.

Hmm okay but I dont have data corruptions... (as far as I can tell) I just get constant BSODs/stop errors in games :( I've tried a million patches, hotfixes, and such. And on large disk operations (even on the same drive) copying files and unpacking rarchives I've gotten stops... will this beta bios help me there as well? (that or what will :'( )

edit: I, also, am under win2k, NFS5, CS, UT, just about any game causes a stop error and as I mentioned some heavy disk operations.

In all my years I've never had such a discouraging and frustrating system and I'm just about ready to cut my losses and switch to a DDR board... if I ultimately have to :\

Well I also think this fixes the file transfer error between disks or something like that.

I am running the new BIOS now without a problem, but my headache was the SB Live problem.

Have you tried Pauls unofficial KT7 FAQ.
