ok... please help!!!! I am using an abit kt7a raid motherboard with a Radeon 64 ddr video card... also i have a philps magnavox cd-rw, a 56k modem, 52 x cd rom, aureal sound card (vortex 2 sq2500) and a network card (realtek or something like that) ok... my problem is this... i am trying to move so i tried to cleam install win 2k... so i would have a start for the school year... but ... now after 5 clean installs... i still cant get service pack 1 or service pack 2 to work properly... when installed (one at a time..) the restart would produce a stop error message... i would have to then chkdsk.. and then fast emergency recovery to fix this... however... i can't connect to the internet until i uninstall it!!! Ok.. so heres my plea... if any one with the same setup and/or know anyway i should do this ... please help... i am having an idea... should i remove... my sound card, and lan card, cd-rom and cd-rw... and try to install the service packs.. first.. then install the other stuff?? please... i really really need to solve this problem...
