Im hopeing for some advice from anyone on this forum, I have an Abit KT7A-Raid motherboard, which seems to run like a dog when doing more than one thing at a time on it, Sisoft Sandra is informing me that my AGP and PCI bus speeds are to fast, I have a voodoo 5500, the AGP speed in Sissoft sandra is reporting 88 and PCI 44 I have an Athelon 1200 processor set at 133 x 9 and 256 (133mhz) megs of ram also the latest bios.
If there is some setting im missing in the bios, can someone help.

Thx in advance
Paul

Check in Softmenu III and see what the pci bus is running i.e 133/33 where the 33 is pci bus. AGP is twice that. Sounds like either your settings are messed or Sandra is full of it. As to running more than one thing at a time, could be many things causing the slow down. Most likely not the board unless its broken. Have you checked the stability of your system? Program like Prime95 in torture test mode is a real good indication of overall stability.

What two things are you doing that really slow down the system?

Yeah, I speed check my system with Sandra and do memory checks with it, but that is about it. When i seen it reporting my fan speed and core voltage wrong, I gave up on it being a reliable tool.

You should double check your bios because there are 2 133fsb settings. One is 133/33 and the other is 133/44.
