Abit KT7A raid problem

Greetings,
I have an Abit KT7A raid mobo, and I checked the faq repeated times, it seems I cant get the screen to come up. I am unsure if its the mobo or not. However, its brand new touched once a xp2000 cpu, with a thermal AX7 + YStech 3 speed fan a pci /agp graphics card( I tried both) with a lian li-pc70USB case

I cant get this board to show a picture or recognize everything I have tried numerous things. Has anyone ever had this issue? I am going crazy, I tried the 1600XP from my other KT7A board and that would not work... Wonder what could be wrong. Any ideas?

Have you checked to make sure the BIOS is recent enough to support the XP? Also, have you tried clearing the CMOS?

Greetings, I turned off my power took the jumper off put it on the other side of the CMOS jumper, then I booted up did nto work as expected. took out power supply cable and I reset the CMOS jumper. STill a no show.

It seems the KT7A-RAID doesnt support AMD XP chips, not even with a BIOS upgrade according to their website. You'll either have to get a new motherboard, or a slower cpu.

It supports Xp CPU's, just not officially.
