ABIT KT7A-Raid and Which Modem?

I have the abit KT&A-Raid and the Creative Modemblaster but I cannot get the modem to work if a phone is plugged into the phone jack on the modem card. My online connections range from 46667 to 48000 as long as I do not use the phone jack.

For others with this motherboard, which modem do you successfully use and in which slot.

Also, I use Windows 98se, and have the SB Live MP3 Sound Card.
