Abit KT7A Max Hard Drive Supported?

Does anyone know the biggest drive the ABIT KT7a can support on an IDE controller? I looked around but can't seem to find an exact answer. I'm looking to get a 160 or 200gig drive.

Thanks

To use a hdd of 137gb or greater you need to make sure that you have the latest bios. If your mobo is v1.3 you need bios Version 7P or newer. All other versions require bios Version 7N. Other than that, the only limitation would be your OS. You need WinXP with the latest updates to run HDDs of that size. I was using the KT7A-Raid mobo up to six months ago, but I upgraded to KX7-33 Raid. I hadn't added my 250gb hdd until a month ago so I couldn't tell you of my success. Good luck and let me know if you have trouble finding the latest bios if you need it! 🙂
