Abit KT7 - Which socket does memory work best in?

Anyone overclocking on a KT7, have you tried different sockets for the placement of the ram. I have had mine in socket 1, but it is the furthest from the chipset. Has it changed the overclockability or stability.
 
When I was fooling around with my KT7 earlier, I noticed that it would boot all the way into Windows at a Gig with one of my 128MB PC133 sticks in the middle slot. In slot 1, it would almost load Windows at a Gig, but hang before the desktop. With both sticks in slot 1 & 2, it will run at a Gig, but not complete 3DMark2000 or run UT for long. I settled for the specs in my sig below, solid as a rock no matter what I have thrown at it.
