How have you got your speakers connected,my soundcard has a Digital out,but my front (anologue)speakers are connected to line out(green connector since they are pluged into a hi-amp)& my rear speakers(anologue) are plugged into the black connector(for my powered yamaha speakers),are you saying you have no sound or get sound with crackling or some other noise?

Have you tried going into Audio HQ then select Creative Mixer at top right corner above volume there is a red cross for advanced controls this brings up digital output only on & off(not sure what this does so try it). It says it should be on for soundcard to digital speakers.

the digital out is meant for digital speakers like the Four Point Surround Digital or the Desktop Theater 2500. Which speakers do you have? If they're not digital, then all you're going to get is static from the yellow output jack.

I have the KT7, digital out, and the Desktop Theater and digital out is working fine.

Ogn,he was not clear he says connected digital through soundcard,I explained normal anologue speakers(use black & green outputs depending on 2 or 4 speaker setup)so he knows that so I`m pretty sure he is using Digital(yellow output) anyway he should be back soon.

Does the FPS 2000 have the Digital DIN connector on the back or the digital minijack? Older FPS 2000 have the Digital DIN and newer one's should have the yellow minijack.

if it's the digital din, how are you connecting the digital out from the sound card to the speakers? the digital out from the sound card should go into the digital din and not any other jacks. i have an older dt2500 that has the digital din. when i purchase the sb live platiunum, it came with a yellow minijack connector. to connect it to my speakers, i had to contact creative labs and get a converter from minijack to digital in. it's free. you just have to give them your speaker serial number and your sound card serial number.
