My KT7-RAID will not boot-up when I start it up in the morning or when I
have entered the BIOS and reboot it from there. The monitor does not come on
and there is just no boot process going on. The ony way I can get it to
start is to take the power of (from the back of the case) and put it back on
after a few secs.

Rebooting from Windows (ME) goes fine, the problem only happens when I have shut
down the PC or when I have been in the BIOS.

Anybody has an idea of what the problem can be? I have a new ATX-case with a
300W PSU, so that should be ok. My CPU is an Athlon 800 SocketA

Any information greatly appreciated.

is your ps athlon approved? Someone i know had a very similar problem with their machine, i narrowed it down to the ps being non-approved... Have you tried putting it in standby instead of shutting down?

I have just the same problems with my KT7-Raid couple weeks ago...
The problem in my case was the CPU Fan that peaks the rpm signal so that mobo's BIOS doesn't like to co-operate at all. Try to switch connector of the cooler to the place beside AGP slot, this should not inform rpm to BIOS at all or if you are having knowledge about electronics insert small capacitor between rpm line and ground so the peaks are filtered away.

Hope this will help you...

Thanks, I have fixed the problem by setting the correct CPU speed in the bios. I didn't know it was necessary because when booting the bios always displayed the speed correctly already.
