Abit KT7-RAID w/ IBM 75GXP 15gig drives

I was just wondering if there are any known problems between the built in raid controller on a KT7 mobo and IBM GXP drives. Because, for some reason, certain apps on my puter load slower than people who have a slower computer. I am running:

Duron@1ghz
256mb PC133 CAS2 Mushkin
IDE RAID 0 w/ (2) IBM 75 GXP 15gig
KT7 RAID mobo
Geforce 2 GTS 32mg

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

I've got a similar system to you:

TBird @ 900MHz
384MB PC133 Mushkin
IDE RAID 2/(2) IBM 75 GXP 15GB
KT7-RAID mobo (with the UZ beta bios and drivers)
Geforce2 MX 32MB
(Win98 SE)

The machine is EXTREMEMLY fast loading everything I've got. I've put together a number of machines now with the same mobo and differing sizes of the 75 GXP and the only wierdness I've found is that Wintune reports a disk speed of 1/2 to 1/3 of what I normally get if I'm in Win2k. The system doesn't seem slower though, only that single benchmark.

Yeah, mine is only slow to load Half-Life. It's blazing fast in almost every other area. Hey, how is that new bios btw? worth the update?

Yes, do yourself a favor and get the latest bios/drivers from Abit's FTP.
