Abit KT7-Raid Voltage Modification

I remember reading some where about a website that sold the Abit KT7 w/ the voltage modifications. I just can't seem to find the website.

Can anyone help?

I'm interested in buying a Abit KT7A-raid w/ the mod.

I've been reading the articles not sure if I want to try the mod.
I remember reading somewhere that soem website was selling the board w/ the mod already.

I am in the same boat. I made the wire with the resistor soldered in the middle, wraped it in heat shrink tubing, and checked it with the OHM meter. I have been practicing with just wire on a dead board I have, and just can't get the knack of making the wires stick to the small solder pads

I damn sure don't want to screw up my new KT7A RAID, and no electronics shops around my area seem to want to solder two lousy wires for me.

Check out the www.vr-zone.com and search for kt7 voltage. Alot of users on there have experience doing it. Maybe that will help. I also noticed something on there about soddering tips.

BEWARE of the overclockerz store they suck and have tried to screw many people in this fourm. They tried to screw me but i got my credit card people after them and got my money back... again BEWARE of the overclockerz store......... They lie and have the worst support.

I would personally suggest against modding voltage. With the severe under-reads at high-overclocks(and hence, high-voltage overclocks) you may not know if there is a problem cause the mb may tell you 50C for cpu temp.

I would second the motion to be careful and give it some thought, I did my first mod sucessfully on a kT7 and It was doing fine but one day I read that a change in resistor would give me more voltage. While in process of cutting the old resistor off I moved the wire connected to the (bc155 area) one too many times and it pulled everything out including the original solder pad., the board was ok until I kept screwin with it till i killed it. Later I ordered a KT7 raid and after a few weeks i just had to monkey with it...well the solder process went very smooth I thought and put it back in the case and has never booted since, I have no idea what went wrong, I do remember that I was trying a different resistor than the 30k that had worked before ( I had read on a forum somewhere that reducing resistor would yeild more voltage) anyway its dead too and all mine are now MSI unmodded

And I have never dealt with overclockerz store so i will take the word of those that have.
