Abit KT7-Raid System Locks up using Raid

Anyone experiencing this?

Just set up my new Athlon 1Gig. Everything was fine until I ran a HD benchmark.

As soon as it tested the Raid Drive (2 IBM 75GP 30 Gigs), it locks up tight.

If I turn off the Raid and use the drives as 2 seperates everything is fine.

I am using the Abit Bios "UL" and the original HighTech drivers that came with the board. I did try out the HighTech 1.02 drivers but still the same result.

Any help would be apreciated. This is driving me nuts!

Hmmm. Great.
I had two different drives. A Quantum and New Maxtor 30 gig ATA 100 and my setup was doing the EXACT same thing as yours. I read on the newsgroups that the controller doesn't like the Maxtor ATA 100 drives, so I took that drive back and ordered two IBM 30 gig 7fgxp's, they will be in tomorrow. I'll let you know if it fixes my problem or not.
If not then maybe both of us have a bad board.
