Abit Kt7 raid question.......Voltage

Hi, I am currently running a T-bird 750 on a Abit kt7-raid, heres the question;

When I have the voltage on default, my hardware monitor shows about 1.75 volts or so and when I have the setting on 1.725 the monitor shows about 1.81 volts, Is this correct? I haven't been able to get it over 850, because when I increase the voltage, the monitor voltage goes nuts and I am afraid to burn out the chip.

My friend has the same board and this is apparent on his also, are these readings accurate or should I go by the actually setting I'm using in the Cpu setting area........

Thanks for any advice!

Many mobos read the voltage abot 0.05 or so higher than the voltage that you set it at. Never cared enough to measure it with a Digital Volt meter. If you have a good hsf the voltage won't hurt. Crank it to 1.85 if you have the cooling.

hey is my vcore really bad if it's set @ 1.7 but reads 1.84? that's like a bigger jump than .05!! just being paronoid...
