Abit KT7 Raid and Thunderbird 900

I just ordered my Abit KT7 RAID and an AMD thunderbird 900. so my question is am i going to NEED a 300watt Power supply? any advice would be helpful.

Depends on what else you are going to run i guess. Myself I have the same setup but I am intending to ad a peltier and a 1/2 dozen case fans / blowholes so to be on the safe side 300W is the go

I have 2 80x80 case fans,hard drive cooler(3 20x20), video card fan, fan on chip set, 2 CD-ROM drives all on a 235w Power Man. No problems yet. Thinking of getting a 300w Sparkle. If you do get a new power supply make sure it is a good brand and on the AMD list. Their is a big difference between a good power supply and a bad one.

Duron 1gig, hd, 2cd, 8 fans on a POS Gateway 200watt ps. The power supply issue is overrated now with the kt7, other mobos are less tolerant of poor ps though.
