Abit KT7-RAID and Duron 1.3?

Does anyone know if practically speaking the KT7-RAID will work with the Duron 1.3Ghz? I see on Abit's website that it "officially" only supports up to 1.2 with a new flashed BIOS, but have ran across some dissenting opinion as to whether it will work or not.
And on the same note, which would be faster, the Duron (Morgan core) 1.3 or the Tbird 1.4, both assuming a 100Mhz FSB.
It's pretty hard to find the tbird 1.4 anymore.

I installed the very same 1.3 duron into my kt7 (non raid)... the bios supports from one of the newest versions. I had problems finding the athlon 1400 as well :-(

Does it run at 1.3Ghz? I was wondering if it would run at 1.2 as limited by the BIOS.
I am also wondering how much of an upgrade this would be from a Duron 600 OC'ed to 950.

Yes it does run at 1.3gHZ!

As long as you've updated your BIOS it will just slot in and work!

My benchmark in UT2003DEMO:

Athlon 700= Flyby 77.007439 Botmatch 24.431845
Duron 1.3 = Flyby= 103.519211 Bots= 34.292156

The only difference was the CPU!

Well, I took the plunge and instead of getting the Duron 1.3, decided it was time for a substantial upgrade.
Ordered a XP1600+ (AGOIA), some arctic silver 3, 256MB samsung PC2700 DDR333, and the EPOX 8K5A2+.
Upgraded my CPU warranty for $5 from newegg.
Hopefully my current HS/Fan will work with no problems, as I plan to OC this sucker, shooting for 2100+.
