I have been reading on Athlonoc.com, anandtech.com, and other sites that the new Thunderbird Athlon chips are locked from overclocking unless you make physical adjustments to the chip itself. Knowing what a clumsy oaf I am, I dare not try such a thing. Now, reading ABIT's website, they say that the KT7 mainboard has the same ability to adjust settings through the SoftmenuIII as the KA7 boards do (with the disclaimer that AMD might not allow the chips to be affected by these settings). Has anyone tested this board with the new socket A chips as far as tweakability goes?
