Abit Kt7 Flashing of BIOS

I have tried everything under the sun, I keep getting dumped out when I try to flash. It's working fine now, but when I need to upgrade the BIOS I know I will have problems. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by dumped out? Do you mean that the BIOS flashing program keeps giving you an error and terminating itself?

If so, that's a common problem when people try to flash their BIOS from within Windows, or a DOS Window while windows is running. This also happens when people use the option in the Win9x/Me shutdown menu of "restart in MSDOS mode". None of these are true DOS mode. In all of these instances, windows memory managers and/or drivers are still loaded, which prevents BIOS flashing. The BIOS flashing program will detect this and terminate itself.

You must boot straight into DOS and DOS only. Make yourself a DOS boot disk and boot into DOS. Then you can run your flashing program and flash the BIOS.
Hopefully this is helpful and turns out to be your problem. If not, I wish you good luck! 😀
