abit KT7 bios options...

fs5

Lifer
In the soft menu section of the abit kt7 bios there are the following options:
  • Fast CPU Command Decode - Normal, Fast (at normal)
  • CPU Drive Strength - 0, 1, 2, 3 (2)
  • enhance chip performance - disable/enable (disabled)
  • Force 4-way interleave - disable/enable (disabled)
  • enable Dram 4k-page mode - disable/enable (disabled)
  • Dram clock - Host CLK, HCLK+PCICLK (Host CLK)

Considering I'm overclocking a Duron600 @ 1000 (1.8 volts), what should my settings be for each of these? And what the heck do they mean?

Fast CPU Command Decode - leave it at Normal for stability, Fast for a speed boost.

CPU Drive Strength - leave it set to 2 for stability. 3 makes little difference.

enhance chip performance - set to "enabled" for better performance.

Force 4-way interleave - leave disabled and set it under ADVANCED OPTIONS if you're using 64MB two-sided dimms or better.

enable Dram 4k-page mode - enable it for a memory performance boost.

Dram clock - Set to Host CLK for PC-100 memory, HCLK+PCICLK (Host CLK) for PC-133 memory.
