Hi all. I finally have my Turtle Beach Montego II and the KT7 (non raid) working together. I installed the Vortex 2048 referance drivers to make it work. I used the full package of drivers, 38 meg in size. I deleted all old Aureal drivers, and deleted all turtle beach files as well. I ran the control panel remove software for turtle beach and it also kind of removed a few things.
Drivers are in win95 and also win95/temp directory, so be sure you remove everything. On the new install of soundcard, I used the 2048 drivers, it installed the multifunction adapter, and then I had to manually install the mpu401 driver and aureal drivers, thru device manager. I "DID NOT" install the soundblaster compatibility drivers yet. I have 5 hrs of 3d games on it so far without a crash. I do have some bugs. In control panel when I select A3D setup I get an error message, and also selecting midi effects it says I have no wave driver (this could be the soundblaster driver I did not install) Also I see no A3d splash logo on running games, so its possible I am getting no 3D sound yet. I Definately do have stereo sound. I will try to get A3D setup screen working next.
Anyone have any ideas on this? Write me if you need any more help.
