Abit Kt7 and 32x4 memory?

I just bought this memory 256 MB RAM

It says its a new standard (32x4) and will run on any KT133 mobo. But when I put it in my KT7, my memory dropped from 128 to 64 MB! When I left the 256 MB chip alone in the mobo, it didn't run. Instead it gave single beeps with 1 second intervals.

Any suggestions on this problem?

Check for a bios upgrade? Anything to enable in bios for 32x4?
Tempting price. 38 bux for 256meg of ram, but sucks if it don't work. 7-7.5ns, would that be Cas2 or 3? Anyone else know?

And if you do know, know if it'll work in a KK266?
