I am about ready to put together a athlonXP 1900, with a asus 8200 deluxe geforce 3, 512 MB p2100 memory and an AUdigy platinum soundcard paired with Klipsch 4.1 promedia speakers.. only thing im holding out for is the Mother board? should i go for the kr7a or is there something better to be had.. AND will i have problems with an adpatec 2940UW2 in conjunction with the raid board? Im using my 2940 for my cdrw and cdrom players.
Any advice would be appreciated.. have thought about the Epox board.

The prices point out that the 1900+ carries a heavy premium over the 1800+. Just overclock if you want the small gain in performance...

<"that is way too expensive. (The motherboard)">

Not really, consider purchasing the non RAID Asus KT266A motherboard and then purchasing a RAID PCI controller card from Promise....

epox 8kha+=110$
fastrack tx=90$
200$

kr7a-r=170$

id much rather have the epox as it's a good oc board, but damn that's expensive and it chews up a pci slot on a board that only has 5. where as the abit has 6 slots. :( maybe ill wait for the shuttle.
