Abit KR7A-RAID constant reset; bad MB?

I have an Abit KR7A-RAID v1.0 machine that suddenly won't even POST. It was running fine until found dead and wouldn't reboot. I've swapped RAM, power supply, AGP video card, CPU, pulled all the PCI cards, cleared CMOS -- no change. Lights come on but the screen stays blank. The HD's spin up but aren't accessed. Of interest, the three LED's on the MB behave as follows when the power switch is activated:

D14 5+V = On
D16 Power On = On
D17 Reset = On

I don't think the D17 Reset LED should be on continuously. I disconnected the reset switch from the Motherboard connector with no change, so it's not a bad switch. Any other ideas as to what would cause a constant reset? :frown:

Sounds like you have tried just about everything. I had a very similar problem with my KR7A several months ago and it turned out to be my Power Supply. You should also consider replacing the battery ... just a thought.
Good luck

This board is known to have bad capacitors that leak after a while. That may be the problem. mine did it after a year and so did my kt7a.
