ABIT KR7A and floppy drive

I am having issues with my floppy drive. When I try to access a disk, it asks me to "insert a disk in to drive A", eventhough its already inserted. I replaced the floppy drive and I still have the same problem. Next I will try a new Floppy cable, but I doubt that will work.

Has anyone had problems with the floppy controller on the ABIT KR7A?? I really hope this isnt a MOBO problem.

Thanks.

I bet you floppy cable is flipped.....

I've seen tons of people do it....check and make sure

It's not a mobo problem!

Solution: throw away floppy drive!

actually, i second mangler--you probably have one side of your floppy cable flipped around. i've been using the same floppy drive in my computers for 6 years and it hasn't gone bad on me yet =)

yep, floppy cable is flipped would be my guess too.

I'm running 2 KR7As and I have had no floppy issues.
