Abit KR7A 133 and AMD 2400?

Hello,

I've got an Abit KR7A 133-R board and want to upgrade my processor. I'm looking at the AMD 2400 (cos it's cheap!) but it doesn't look like it'll work with this motherboard. I remember reading somewhere that some modifications can be made to the motherboard for the two parts to be compatible - has anyone any experience with this?

Yes it does, but you have to have upgraded to Bios "cx" before it will work. Lots of people run this CPU without issues on the KR7a-133
