Abit KR7-RAID vs. Soyo Dragon Plus+

I just got the Dragon+ and couldn't be happier with it. Easily the most stable board I've used to date. The sound is comparable to my Turtle Beach and the built in 10\100 is cool as well. I don't know anything about the other board though.

I've tested the KR7A in a computer shop for about an hour last Saturday and from my limited testing it's a very good board with great overclocking potential. It lacks the little goodies that the Dragon+ offers and costs about the same or is a little more expensive so it was hard to justify the price.

I have the Dragon+ and in my opinion it's the best KT266A board out there simply because of its features. If you're interested in the hardware sound, integrated NIC and the front mounted USB ports then you should get this board. It overclocked just as high as the KR7A when I tested it. This was around 160fsb with no PCI components installed.

one of the things that sold me on the dragon over the abit ( which i was really leaning toward ) was the raid controller not being wasted if i didn't want to run raid. 4 single IDE's i really nice
soyo dragon+
athlon 1500+ @1500 mhz (10x150 fsb)
using the onboard sound and nic
gforce 2 mx400
384 mb ddr sdram

The KR7A Raid bord does the 4 IDE's too, you don't need raid to use the IDE 3 and 4 slots, I run 3 hard drives with no raid for now.
